The bauble stamp

Well I've fished out my fave stamp from last year, decided to go with blue and silver and red and gold. Embossed onto matching card, mounting onto either gold or silver then onto the backing paper - simple yet effective.

I've just received my new Tilda so I'm dying to get colouring...

Back soon with pics

Is it really the season?

Well seeing as it's just far too hot to be outside, I've been making more christmas cards. I'd ordered loads of Forever Friends Decoupage the other week and decided I'd get on with them. So I put the fan on and set to, I also downloaded different layouts because when you're doing that many they can all end up looking pretty much the same

The papers are all Pink Petticoat, I decided they would all be of the same theme, just different colours and layouts. I also added the odd snowflake and poinsettia.

Here are just a few of the pictures:

Golden Wedding

A friend has asked me to make her 2 golden wedding cards, for the same people, one from her and one from a friend, so they had to be different, sometimes it's difficult to do one card never mind 2!

I think I've managed tho, the first one was a download (from cardmaking downloads I think) and the second was a stamp I've had for ages, gold embossed onto some Joyeux Noel paper then cuttlebug'd and mounted onto gold card and some more Joyeux Noel paper for the backing.

Tis the season...

I have been cracking on with my christmas cards, managed to do 3 sets using the same design, the original idea came from Pink Perricoat, together with the penguins and the papers, I then adapted it to go with the Robins from digistampboutique and the snowmen fromprintable heaven.

Peas on earth

Hah, I decided that I would take my mind off of everything (Hazal) and throw myself into this week's challenge over on DoCrafts. I absolutely loved this image when I saw it over on Sally's blog and just had to get it. The image is from http://www.whimsiedoodles.com. Turns out it fitted perfectly into this week's challenge!!

Really loved doing this one, so much so I'm already doing another, well you can never have too many Christmas cards can you?

Student...

No cards to show you I'm afraid, too busy pulling my hair out! Hazal arrived on Sunday at about 12 lunch time, and we have already been to the academy to ask Muge to find her another host family.

She is an absolute nightmare, we should have realised that the course is quite expensive so only the 'privileged' children will be able to attend, unfortunately with that you get the spoilt brats!

Her family have an apartment in town but she is still staying with us to help with her English, but she is such hard work! She is only at school for 2 hours so the rest of the time we are 'babysitting' while her mum goes down the beach and enjoys herself!!

We're decided to do this to help make a difference with the young people learning English, it's not as if we're making alot of cash out of it, it's basically all inclusive, for £100 per week, hey come to think of it, that's really good value, I might start offering it over tinternet, anyone interested??

Hopefully she'll be gone before too long and I can concentrate on my cards again.

Bye for now, Clare x

New stamp

I have finally got around to using my new V&A stamps, I decided to stamp and flock the flower, the background is also the V&A stamp, which I am SO impressed with, being able to match it up and cover as much paper as you like!

This one is one of my christmas digi's think I should have done a border along the bottom to break up the emptiness, maybe on my next ones.

We are now on our 3rd student, the first was the worst and we wern't sure if we would have another but we met Murat before he came to stay and he seemed nice so we carried on and he left on Friday night and now the 3rd has just arrived today! Bless her she is only 13 but her family are actually staying in town so it's not that scary for her.

So I have been trying to keep up with my crafting but it's really difficult with the students here, maybe Hazal will be the last one and I can get on with my cards, who knows?! Wish me luck...

Bye for now Clare
